How often and when should I get my property treated for spiders?
This question gets asked of me quite often, the simple answer in my humble opinion is, there is no one answer that covers all situations.
In saying that, generally, if it is a maintenance treatment to keep spiders at bay, timing is the key for best results. I recommend annual treatment to be undertaken, usually once the weather starts to warm up around Spring time. Spring is usually when webbing spiderlings and crawling spiderlings hatch and either blow in on the wind or crawl in from their nearby nurseries. This, in my opinion, is the best time to treat as you get prolonged control, with better effect and value for money, as these treatments typically remain effective for many months afterward.
On the other hand, should the problem be more pressing, for example, you might be finding white tails or redbacks in or around the home and you may have children crawling or still at the curious age, or you’re one of many self-confessed arachnophobes. If that is the case, then there’s no time like the present!
Spider treatments work regardless of the time of year, it all generally comes down to the situation at hand and possibly your spider tolerance levels!
